Trinity’s girls varsity basketball overpowered Wheatmore in their first PAC-6 conference match-up, with a final score of 51-39. The Lady Warriors owned the first quarter, ending at 12-15. The Lady Bulldogs rallied and pulled ahead through the second half for the win.
“We just couldn’t hit a shot,” said Wheatmore Coach Chad Ellington said about the second half of the game.
Trinity Coach Renee Hayes said their passing game improved after the first quarter.
Trinity’s Logan Terry and Christy Campbell led with 16 points each. Courtney Cox added 11.
Wheatmore’s Taylor Walker scored 14 and Abbey Byrd 9. Courtney Rains pulled down an impressive 22 rebounds.
