Country breakfast Jan. 16

Hopewell United Methodist Church will offer a country breakfast buffet from 7 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 16.

The menu includes eggs, grits, biscuits, gravy, pancakes, bacon, sausage, ham and a choice of beverage.

The cost is $7 for adults, $3 for ages 6-12 and free for 5 and under. Proceeds will benefit the building fund.

Renaissance Singers to perform

West Market Street United Methodist Church will host the Spiritual Renaissance Singers in concert at 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 17. There is no charge to attend.

Divorce Care begins Jan. 20

Trinity Baptist Church will begin holding Divorce Care classes at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20.

The classes will run for 13 weeks and then repeat, and are designed for those in need of a support group.

Fish fry Jan. 23

Springfield Friends Meeting will hold a fish fry from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23. Cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children ages 6-12.

Take-out meals will be available. To order tickets, contact the church office at 889-4911. The meeting is at 555 E. Springfield Road in High Point.

Deacon ordination Jan. 24

First Baptist Church of Trinity will hold a deacon ordination for Hertis Travis at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 24.

The speaker will be the Rev. Michael Alston, pastor of Hardie Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Oxford.

The church is at 12504 Trinity Road in Trinity.
