Free community supper Jan. 8

Hopewell United Methodist Church will have a free community supper from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8. The menu will include soups and sandwiches. The meal is free, but donations will be accepted. For more information, call 431-9507. The church is at 4540 Hopewell Church Road in Trinity.

Gateway performs Jan. 9

Faith Baptist Church will host Gateway as the featured singers of their monthly singing at 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9. A meal will follow. For more information, call 491-3405. The church is at 2984 Rob Cruthis Road in Archdale.

COAT pageant Jan. 9

The Christmas pageant for Miss COAT Princess and Miss COAT Queen will be held 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, at John Lawrence Elementary School.

Admission is $3 for adults and $2 for children 12 and under. The pageant is a fundraiser for the food pantry ministry housed in First Baptist Church of Archdale at the corner of Main and Frazier streets.

The Bledsoes to perform

Landmark Baptist Church will hold their regular second Sunday singing at 2:30 p.m. Jan. 10 with The Bledsoes from Mt. Airy. The church is at 6055 Sunset View Drive in Archdale.

Open mike night Jan. 10

Archdale United Methodist Church will hold an open mike night from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 10. Musicians, singers, comedians, storytellers and others are invited to share their talents with others. For details, call 431-7111. The church is on the corner of Main and Petty streets.

Country breakfast Jan. 16

Hopewell United Methodist Church will offer a country breakfast buffet from 7 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 16. The menu includes eggs, grits, biscuits, gravy, pancakes, bacon, sausage, ham and a choice of beverage. The cost is $7 for adults, $3 for ages 6-12 and free for 5 and under. The Best Christmas Pageant Ever Jan. 16

St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church will present “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” at 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16. Admission is one or more cans of food for a food pantry. The church is at 303 Easterchester Drive in High Point (at the corner of Johnson Street).

Divorce Care begins Jan. 20

Trinity Baptist Church will begin holding Divorce Care classes at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20. The classes will run for 13 weeks and then repeat, and are designed for those in need of a support group. Call the church at 434-1998 to sign up. Leave your full name and complete contact information, including e-mail, with the church secretary. The church is at 6499 N.C. Hwy. 62 in Trinity.
