Archdale First Church of God will sell Christmas trees, door wreaths and garlands Friday through Sunday, Dec. 4-6. Baked goods also will be available for purchase.
Lot hours are from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4; from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5; and from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6.
All trees are Fraser firs. Sizes range from 5 feet to 8 feet, with pricing from $25 to $45.
Proceeds will benefit a 2010 mission trip to Haiti through Children’s International Lifeline.

Faith Baptist bazaar Dec. 5
Faith Baptist Church will hold their annual bazaar beginning at 7 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 5.
The event will include arts and crafts, yard sale items, Christmas gifts and the sale of sausage biscuits in the morning and spaghetti lunches at noon.

The United Methodist Men of Hopewell United Methodist Church will hold a barbecue shoulder and quart sale Saturday, Dec. 5. Pick-up time runs from 3 to 5 p.m.

Grilled chicken supper Dec. 5
Fairfield United Methodist Church will hold a local missions fundraiser at 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5.

Missions fundraiser Dec. 5
Gospel Baptist Church will hold a fundraiser for missions from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5.
The event includes a yard sale, bake sale, crafts and a breakfast of ham and sausage biscuits and coffee and drinks.
A barbecue chicken dinner will be served from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The menu also includes potato salad, barbecue slaw, bread, dessert and a beverage. The cost is $7.

Wind Ensemble to perform
The Piedmont Triad Wind Ensemble (formerly Archdale-Trinity Community Band) will perform two Christmas concerts at area churches.
The first one will be at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 7, at Archdale United Methodist Church, on the corner of Main and Petty streets in Archdale.
The second will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10, at Poplar Ridge Friends Meeting, 3673 Hoover Hill Road in Trinity.
Concerts are free and open to the public, but donations are welcomed.
Free supper Dec. 11
Hopewell United Methodist Church will hold a free community supper from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11.
The menu includes turkey with all the trimmings. The meal is free, but donations will be accepted.
