Several local organizations have set Christmas holiday events including home tours, an art show and the annual Archdale Christmas parade.

• The Archdale-Trinity Merchants Alliance will hold open houses Friday and Saturday, Nov. 20 and 21. See this week’s edition of the NEWS for details.

• The City of Archdale’s Creekside Christmas will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4, at Archdale Parks and Recreation. Attendees can enjoy the luminaries in the park, craft vendors, good food, hayrides, carolers and live entertainment by a local band. A canned food drive to benefit Community Outreach of Archdale-Trinity (COAT) will take place in the gym.

• Randolph Community College-Archdale Center will host a youth art show from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4, to coincide with the Creekside Christmas. The art show will display work of pre-school through middle school students. Vote for your favorite artwork with penny votes. Light refreshments will be served. Entertainment will be by the Archdale-Trinity Middle School Chorus group.

• Northwestern Randolph County Arts Council and Trinity Historic Society will hold a holiday homes tour from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5. The eight-home tour will begin at the historic Ragan House (Ed Price Realty) on Trindale Road. The cost is $8 for members of either organization, $10 for nonmembers and $12 at door. Music and refreshments will be available at the Ragan House. Call Sam Bond at 689-5135 for more information.

• Archdale’s Christmas Parade is at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6. Applications are available at the Archdale-Trinity Chamber office, Archdale-Trinity News and Archdale Parks and Recreation Center.
