Country buffet, auction Nov. 7

Old Union United Methodist Church will hold its sixth annual country buffet, auction and raffle from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7.

The menu includes three meat choices, assorted vegetables, dessert and a drink. The cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children ages 4-10. Children ages 3 and under eat free.

Raffle tickets are $1 each or six tickets for $5. Prizes include a handmade log cabin quilt, $100 Chamber of Commerce check or a $100 BP Gas Card.

Bruce, Walker to speak at revival

Mount Gilead United Methodist Church will hold a revival Sunday through Wednesday, Nov. 1-4. All services are at 7:30 p.m.

The Rev. Bradley Bruce, who currently serves as adjunct chaplain to High Point Regional Hospital, will deliver the message Sunday through Tuesday.

The Rev. Charles Walker will speak on Wednesday.

Each service will include special music.

Revival begins Nov. 1

First Pentecostal Holiness Church will hold a revival Sunday through Wednesday, Nov. 1-4.

Services will be held at 10:45 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday and at 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday.

Disaster coordinator to speak

Michael Collins, coordinator for missions and disaster relief for the Western North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church, will speak at Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church at 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1.

Supper at the Hut will follow the presentation.

Children’s festival Oct. 31

Trinity Baptist Church will hold a children’s fall festival from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31. All children are invited.

Brunswick stew available

The Methodist Women of Fairview United Methodist Church will hold their annual Brunswick stew sale from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday Oct. 31.

Fall festival Oct. 31

Sophia Church of God will hold a fall festival beginning at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31. There will be game booths and prizes for everyone.

Hallelujah Night Oct. 31

Trindale Baptist Church will hold “Hallelujah Night — Racing through the Bible” at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31. The event offers a free hot dog supper, games, candy and a bonfire.

Poplar Ridge Friends Meeting will hold Quakerfest, a Halloween carnival and trick or treating alternative, from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31.
